What happens when we work together
Initial assessment
In the initial assessment, we will discuss your medical and health history, one that has likely been long, emotional and arduous, to gain insight into the interaction between the mind, nervous system and the complexity of our other internal and external environment. This may take 1-2 sessions depending on the complexity.
Your program & supports
Subsequent consultations are tailored to you. They can include: in depth pacing evaluation with utilising tools of activity diaries, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), all which help us identify clearer patterns to symptoms and setbacks; personalised strategies and skills to implement pacing; understanding and identifying triggers and developing management plans for when you have a setback; understanding and identifying what is loading your neuroimmune system and how to find balance; understanding why rest and nervous system regulation is important and finding rest and regulation strategies to suit you; working together to establish safe and sustainable steps towards your goals; if and when appropriate, development of a movement/exercise program; advocacy and strategies for managing work/ school/ sport/ parenting; and advocacy for navigating your healthcare teams and assisting to surround you with a knowledgeable and supportive healthcare team.
Long term plans
Depending on your health complexity, goals and needs, we may work together for a short period of time or it may be ongoing for a while. This is dependent on multiple factors. You may also find that you have all the tools you need and say goodbye, only to return years down the track when life changes, events happen or new goals arise
